Description: “Many people are there in this would but only some have the capability to make a difference.” On 2nd October we the Hamptonian family celebrated the 150th birth anniversary of the father the nation Mahatma Gandhi. Mahatma Gandhi was a wondrous personality who needs no description. He was the most important role in our freedom struggle and gained the empathy of the ‘Father of the struggle’. The program started at 8:30 in the morning Ma’am Abha opened the program with a brief history of Bapu Ji and his contribution. This was followed by a song by the girls of classes VII & VIII. Our Head girl then gave us a short description of Bapu’s life. This was proceeded with a speech given by Poonam Thapa of class XII who told us about the various movements that were started by Gandhi ji to name some Sathyagrahya, Salt Law, Simon’s Commission, Quit India Movement and many more which all carried without violence. After that the students on class 2nd A spoke the famous slogan by various leaders.
