CJM Hampton Court was established in 1922 by the Religious of Jesus and Mary with a deep vision to nurture young hearts through quality education and strong values. What began as a small boarding school for junior boys and day pupils soon grew into a vibrant educational institution. The idea was born during the visit of Revd. Mother Clare, Superior General, to India in 1921, when she approved the opening of a Junior Boys’ School at Hampton Court — already known then as a leading school for European girls.
The early years were marked by challenges, with limited staff and resources. Yet, the dedicated nuns, with love and perseverance, laid strong foundations for the future. In 1933, the school underwent major renovations, replacing old wooden structures with stronger, modern buildings — a symbol of its steady progress.
Over the decades, CJM Hampton Court earned a distinguished reputation as one of Northern India’s finest institutions. In 2004, the school affiliated with the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examination (CISCE), and in 2013, it was granted ISC affiliation for Class XII in Science and Commerce streams — further raising academic standards.
In 2022, CJM Hampton Court joyfully celebrated its 100th year, marking a century of excellence, commitment, and transformation. Now standing tall with a legacy of over 103 years, the school continues to focus not just on academic excellence but also on the holistic development of every child — intellectually, morally, emotionally, physically, and creatively. In 2014, the alumni formed the Alumni Association in order to remain connected with the roots that remind them of the values taught by the school.
CJM Hampton Court remains a shining example of faith, dedication, and educational brilliance — a true beacon of light in the field of education.
