CISCE NATIONAL FOOTBALL CHAMPIONSHIP
This journey started with a vision to become a footballer. As we won the CISCE state championship which was held at St. Joseph School, Noida then we looked forward for becoming the next CISCE National Champion . The CISCE National Champion was held at Salt Lake Stadium, Kolkata. We departed on 21st of September for Delhi escorted by Sir Kalam, our head Coach and 32 players including me. We reached thereon 22nd September and registered our team in the Tournament. We played our First match against UAE, the only oversea team in the tournament and defeated them by 5:0 we were confident for the next matches which we had to play against Northwest Team and that match was the deciding match for us that we will be playing Quarter final or not. Same day in the evening we played against Northwest and won by 1:0 we played our Quarter final against Keral with new strategy and celebrated our one more victory. We defeated them by 2:0 we gave them a tough fight, we played our semi final against Maharashtra and lost by 2:1 our team played well but unfortunately we were not able to defeat them but all the audience appreciated our game. Now we were looking forward for the third place and Bronze medal. This match for third place we played against Northeast and won by 3:1.
It was indeed a great exposure to play at the National Level, Learning, understanding, meeting and cherishing those moments of honour and glory. My inspiration to dream high has been developed under the able guidance of my teachers for which I will remain grateful to my School CJM Hampton Court forever.
